The roots of the Design Impex goes back to early 80's, when we began working hand-in-hand with skilled Metal-ware artisans in the heart of metal City Moradabad in India a very well known name globally for its Metal-wares, jointly creating updated, innovative designs in a special lustrous alloy of many metals.Many of those skilled metalworkers are still with us now, in our foundry in Moradabad.Our pieces are made entirely by hand, one at a time, using the ancient art of sand casting: pouring a premium quality alloy of molten Metal into sand moulds, and then going through levels of Finishing.More than twelve different sets of hands are involved in the creation of each piece, and the result of this intensely handmade process is a piece with a depth of character, warmth and personality that communicates in a way that only a handmade piece can.We believe that each piece in the Design Impex Collection speaks for itself, unfolding a story of the creativity of the artists who designed it, the skill of the craftsmen who manufactured it, the enthusiasm of our sales force, and the splendid customer service that stands behind each piece.
